Rebekah Yoder
My name is Rebekah Yoder, and I am in the Master's program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program in Spring 2015 and will graduate Fall 2016. I graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in education and endorsements in ESOL and Reading. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching 4th grade at Alcova Elementary School. I taught 4th grade for three years, and during my second year, I got my gifted endorsement. For the past year, I have been transitioning into the role of Local School Technology Coordinator. I do continue to teach a technology specials class for 3rd grade students.
KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Master's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to use the knowledge that I have obtained from this program to be a highly effective technology coach.
The purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. There are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and I believe that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my own practice and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
